TMA Tips Avoiding Medicare Penalty for Failure to E-Prescribe

Physicians who have not e-prescribed at least 10 times by June 30 may be penalized (1 percent Medicare Part B) for the 2012 calendar year. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) estimates 209,000 physicians and other providers will be penalized. The Texas Medical Association has provided some helpful tips which will allow you to get the prescriptions in by the deadline.
