Early last week we were saddened to see the blackened windows and missing roof at a building just down the street from our office. Apparently a terrible fire had broken out in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Local news reported extensive damage done to the building, but fortunately no one was injured.
This business is not one of our clients, so we don’t know exactly how prepared they were to pick up and start over at a new location while their office is repaired. It’s a tragic but important reminder that you need to have a Disaster Recovery plan, even a simple one, for your business. Over the coming weeks, we will be have a series of posts describing the most important considerations for a disaster recovery plan.
